caitlin and scott wedding at weeburn beach club in darien ct

on a particularly crisp + sunny saturday along the connecticut shoreline, caitlin + scott were getting ready for a very important day.  after witnessing the happy tears + emotional words spoken by their friends and families at their rehearsal dinner the evening before, we knew this was one of those couples who are truly treasured by everyone who knows them…not only just as individuals, but also together, as a couple.  after every button was buttoned + cufflink in place, their crew of guys + girls met on the beach outside the modernly nautical Wee Burn Beach Club.  we LOVED their unique DIY decor + centerpieces –arrangements of drift wood, rope-covered glass balls, beach rocks and dramatic palm leaves.  aside from the visual appeal, since they collected most of it on their favorite beach on block island, it had special meaning.  over the hours that followed, they managed to hit golf balls, toss beanbags for cornhole, sip many-a cocktail, laugh hysterically, wear a hole in the dance floor…oh yeah, and get married…all with about 225 of their nearest + dearest.   we left with a few minor injuries–a sure sign of a packed dance floor.  love these two and their perfect wedding day!

paxson hill farm wedding in new hope pennsylvania

during our first chat with daisy + bandele, we were enchanted by the description of a private ceremony in the middle of a botanical labrynth with just the bride, groom + their families.  paxson hill farm is an incredible little gem of a wedding location in new hope, pennsylvania…and if you’re lucky, the farms’ two pet turkeys will host the event (charming all of your guests) at no additional charge.

daisy + bandele’s intimate ceremony flowed into a family style garden brunch and then a midday break while everyone got ready for the big celebration to follow.

so many incredible details and unique moments personalized their day!  tina lamorte of oh so fab events put together an absolutely gorgeous event including vintage mismatched furniture, natural textures, fabrics and antique china; the amazing florals were by joseph richinelli and whimsical calligraphy by laura hooper calligraphy.  the bride + groom changed into traditional nigerian wedding wear before making their entrance into the reception and once the music started and the dance floor was packed, the money dance was a highlight!  did i mention this wedding was also on 4th of july?  oh yes, it was so you know there had to be at least a few hints of stars + stripes (three gentlemen in particular) and  it had to end with a bang.  we SO enjoyed meeting this super fun couple and documenting their special day.  congrats, daisy + bandele!!

wedding day at the riviera – new york wedding photographer

you know your wedding day is special when it starts with a giant flying sea horse and ends with someone losing a tooth on the dance floor.

jenny + nelson’s happy spring wedding day began at the beach.   we chased them around the dunes (jenny in her super unique blush-pink gown from BHLDN) with our cameras before loading everyone onto the big yellow school bus en route to their traditional chinese tea ceremony.  after an emotional ceremony with their familial elders, we headed to the riviera, where the party was about to start.  jenny, nelson + most of their friends and families stayed glued to a super energetic dance floor as the sun set outside, overlooking the sound.  we recalled the bride’s original request (during our first phone call) to have a soul train line on her wedding day as the dj spun hip hop, old school 80s rap classics into modern beats during which no one even considered leaving the dance floor.  this party was non-stop until the lights went on!  cheers to jenny + nelson!!
