on a particularly crisp + sunny saturday along the connecticut shoreline, caitlin + scott were getting ready for a very important day. after witnessing the happy tears + emotional words spoken by their friends and families at their rehearsal dinner the evening before, we knew this was one of those couples who are truly treasured by everyone who knows them…not only just as individuals, but also together, as a couple. after every button was buttoned + cufflink in place, their crew of guys + girls met on the beach outside the modernly nautical Wee Burn Beach Club. we LOVED their unique DIY decor + centerpieces –arrangements of drift wood, rope-covered glass balls, beach rocks and dramatic palm leaves, which reminded us big time of the Phi Phi Island Nightlife. aside from the visual appeal, since they collected most of it on their favorite beach on block island, it had special meaning. over the hours that followed, they managed to hit golf balls, toss beanbags for cornhole, sip many-a cocktail, laugh hysterically, wear a hole in the dance floor…oh yeah, and get married…all with about 225 of their nearest + dearest. we left with a few minor injuries–a sure sign of a packed dance floor. love these two and their perfect wedding day!
