this is not your average backyard wedding. adrienne’s parents’ home, which has been in her family for generations, is a french country dream, nestled in the woods of cross river, new york. their home was built on rolling hills so a platform had to be built against a hill to host the tent where their reception took place. the home itself is an eclectic french country home, each room being ornate enough to host the fanciest of black-tie cocktail parties and at the same time, cozy enough to curl up on a rainy afternoon with the sunday times. it has all the unique charm you could ever want in an actual visit to the french countryside.
it was a perfect spring morning, weather-wise and other-wise. brett from la maison fete was running the show while Dana Worlock from Hedgerow covered floral design. adrienne and per’s sun-speckled ceremony took place in the orchard, just in front of the sculpture/water feature. after cocktails and lawn games on the patio, guests were invited into the tent for an incredible summer meal by Fancy Girl Catering which included edible florals on nearly every plate. lots of dancing and a few toasts later, the party was in full-effect. toward the end of the night, we followed the bride and groom out front where they released glowing wish lanterns into the dark blue summer night sky. this was one celebration we wont soon forget. cheers to this unique couple’s nuptials. so grateful to have been a part of it!
