Courtney + David’s wedding day took place at the Hudson valley’s Roundhouse at Beacon, nestled between the hills and the Hudson River. Half of the event space is a modern gallery-type room and the other half– the reception room is distressed brick on all sides, cement floors with clean lines, and a modern, lofty, industrial vibe. A few feminine details like courtney’s free-flowing leanne marshall dress and florals by dark + diamond helped to soften the even while maintaining the modern feel. In an effort to encourage their guests to celebrate not just one day but throughout the weekend, courtney + david created a scavenger hunt that led their guests all over the town of beacon on friday before the wedding. Their signature drinks and cake toppers were named after their two rescue cats, a cause that the couple is passionate about. We love the stenciled prints they had made with their cats’ likeness. Their wedding logo is a graphic design of a geometric heart in gold, which perfectly complimented the modern space of the roundhouse. what made it extra special is that the logo was created by courtney’s mom who is a graphic designer.
