kate and michael are NEW YORKERS.  they have cool jobs at fun, young companies and they can tell you, off the tops of their heads, exactly where to find the best fancy drinks at a secret downtown speakeasy, the best pho, the best NY slice and obviously the four best coffees on the entire island.  they got engaged on a street corner in their neighborhood– need we say more?  come on, thats so New York.  effortlessly magical.  when we heard this, we loved them already.  when they initially reached out to us, kate and i realized that all four of us were going to be in LA at the same time, so we met for drinks at The Hollywood Roosevelt.  while sipping IPAs and sauvignon blanc by the pool in total LA style, these smart, funny new yorkers told us about their wedding plans, which were going to take place at the classically fabulous NYC museum of natural history in the powerhouse loft.  between the prehistoric bones, the planetarium and the general new yorky-ness of this venue, we were all in with these two and their plans.

on wedding day, kate and her bridesmaids got ready at the empire hotel on the upper west side before heading over the St. James Cathedral for their nuptials.  their guests enjoyed cocktails outside before moving indoors for dinner and dancing in the powerhouse loft.  the gorgeous bouquets and reception florals were created by Meredith of Belle Fleur.  kate + michael’s wedding celebration plans rolled out smoothly and without a hitch, thanks to the beautiful and talented, Rebecca Shenkman, owner and coordinator extraordinaire, of Pink Bowtie Events.

how sweet are these two?  they are the perfect mesh of endearingly sarcastic humor, truly kind and generous hearts and of course, GREAT taste.  so much love to the new mr. and mrs. harper.  xo
